Shipping Methods

Standard Ground: The main benefit of this type of delivery is its low cost. However, that is also the culprit of its relatively high damage ratio due to the high frequency of human and forklift handling, resulted from indirect "hopping" through many freight terminals. Appliance packaging is NOT designed for such excessive handling. In one word, cheap shipping including so-called free shipping is highly correlated to shipping damage. The damage ratio can be easily over 10% sometimes.

Express Delivery: The main benefit of this type of delivery is the safety of merchandise in transit. The damage ratio on this delivery is statistically and economically negligible. However, it has a higher shipping cost. We charge both ground shipping cost and delivery surcharge (Some 3rd party web sites may not contain both or either of the above)

Another important purpose of express delivery is to simulate a total price (incl.shipping) from those notorious low-ball New York/New Jersey web sites (See point 1 on this page ) with our standard shipping on some shopping comparison search engines. Then we add the express delivery surcharge to provide a contrasting experience: we will ship to your destination in 6 business days, long before you would have any clue as to where your order is with these web sites except that your credit card would be charged immediately despite the violation of one of most basic rules by major credit cards: no charge is allowed without product shipped first.(A credit card issuer will unconditionally put money back in a consumer's card when a dispute is initiated.) Consumer Alert: Many of the sites that rank at the lowest 20-30 percentile of price (for example, the 5 lowest price sellers out of 20) employ the availability trick. When a consumer does not order the "add-ons", the order will be ignored in the name of "product no longer available" or "out of stock" until the consumer can no longer wait. This is essentially a modified form of bait and switch because the seller would lose money if it honors the deal that is below the cost.
