Full House Appliances Wants to Serve its Customers More Efficiently
The media report of Full House Appliances' experience with what we consider a libelous review is a good start. But there are still some key questions unanswered due to the flaws of equivocation. As the old saying goes, it is not about what you say; it is about how you say it.
1. Full House Appliances has never said that the goal is to minimize the number of customers who post negative reviews. Rather, the goal is to minimize the distraction due to libel.
2. Full House Appliances has never said that Internet review sites are a disaster. We said there is a downside and an upside to internet review sites. We elaborated on the pros and cons. As a matter of fact, these pros and cons have been stated on the "About Us" page since 2009! Talk about consistency.
3. Full House Appliances has emphasized a great deal that only less than 1.5% of its customers show a tendency to libel. Numbers are much more effective in disclosing the truth than letters. Language is susceptible to ambiguity. Why skip this all-important figure?
4. Full House Appliances has complied a record of these threats. Due to consumer privacy, we were reluctant to provide it right away. But we asked the reporter to email us the request so that we have more time to consider how to release it. The reporter has never done that.
5. Full House Appliances asked to clarified the word "extreme" during the interview. We said, being a pioneer in something does not mean it is extreme. He did not reply. But the word was still used. Is protecting our reputation called "extreme"?
The entire report can be condensed into a simple mathematical equation: Less than 1.5% of the customers drain a disproportionally large amount of LIMITED energy
and resources. Therefore we have decided to use that for more productive purposes. "The more" in this case, is less, much less. It makes us wonder why.
As of today these questions have never been answered by the reporter. When they are, we will update this page immediately.
